Date no Komichi, located on the second floor of the S-PAL East Building, opened last year
, is where you can purchase local specialties and souvenirs from Sendai and other parts of Miyagi Prefecture.

Among them, the ones we recommend the most are Kanezakiya and Fujiwaraya Michinoku Sake Journey

Kanezakiya

This is a sasakama specialty store run by Kamaboko no Kanezaki, a long-established manufacturer and seller of Sendai's specialty sasakama

In the store space, you can purchase sasakama as souvenirs, and there is also a popular space where you can enjoy a set menu of grilled sasakama on the spot

The grades of sasakama are "Kanesaki," "Tairyo-hata," and "Handmade Sasa (Red Sea Bream)," with the latter being a popular menu item with limited quantities available
