An evolving city! Sendai Station East Exit is hot right now! Introducing recommended spots!
table of contents
In recent years, the major renovation of the east exit of Sendai Station has been a hot topic in the Sendai city area.
Starting with the opening of S-PAL East Building in the spring of 2016, S-PAL East Building was significantly expanded in 2017.
In November, a space called EKITUZI, which combines a restaurant area and social space, opened.
Today, we would like to introduce you to the East Exit, which is arguably the hottest area in Sendai!
“Date no Komichi” on the 2nd floor of S-PAL East Building is fun!
``Date no Komichi'' on the second floor of S-PAL East Building, which opened last year
, you can purchase specialty products and souvenirs from all over Sendai and Miyagi Prefecture.
Among them, ``Kanezakiya'' and ``Fujiwaraya Michinoku Sake Travel'' are recommended.
Kanezakiya
This is a Sasakama specialty store run by Kamaboko Kanezaki, a long-established manufacturer that manufactures and sells Sendai's specialty Sasakama.
In addition to purchasing Sasakama as souvenirs, the store space is also popular because you can enjoy a set menu of Aburi Sasakama on the spot.
The grades of Sasakama are ``Kanesaki'', ``Tairyobata'', and ``Handmade Sasa (Red Sea Bream)'', and ``Handmade Sasa (Red Sea Bream)'' is a popular item with limited quantities.
They also sell alcohol, so if you want to enjoy delicious Sendai before returning home from a business trip, this is the place to stop by.

Fujiwaraya Michinoku Sake Travelogue
This is a shop that has a local sake vending machine where you can sample the sake that I previously introduced on NEFT
Miyagi, which is a rice-producing region, is also a sake-producing region.
Various types of sake are very popular as souvenirs, but the problem is that you won't know if it's right for you until you try it.
This local sake vending machine is recommended for you.
Tasting corners are sometimes held on holidays, and one of the characteristics of this restaurant is that it often attracts crowds of people.
This is also something you should check out before returning from Sendai!

Get delicious side dishes at Aoha Daily Market!
One year after the opening of S-PAL East Building, the expanded section containing 17 stores has finally opened.
We recommend the "Aoha Daily Market" in the expanded floor space based on the concept of "East Communication & Daily Market" where you can enjoy a wide variety of delicatessen menus.
Here we will introduce ``Farmer Italian Yoneya Jumei'', a local company.
Farmhouse Italian Yoneya Jumei
The rice carefully grown by Miyagi farmers has been designed in an Italian style.
Including ``Hitomebore Risotto,'' a risotto made from Miyagi's most fragrant rice ``Hitomebore,'' and ``Puchipuchi Kin no Risotto,'' a risotto made from ``Kin no Ibuki'' brown rice, which is a brown-colored rice. This is an Italian side dish store where you can purchase a variety of side dishes that complement the rice.
It is unique in that it is run by a company that handles agricultural machinery such as combines, and the crops are grown with care by local farmers.
Because we are a company that has seen this happen closely, we have created a side dish that brings out the appeal more than anywhere else.
When sightseeing in the Sendai city area, please try it at least once.

EKITUZI, an experimental exchange space open for a limited time
The space that previously housed the live space Zepp Sendai has opened for a limited time as an experimental social space with food stalls lined up.
EKITUZI, an ``experimental square that aims for the future through food and play'', is an interaction space created in the image of an intersection.
Although there is a crosswalk, EKITUZI is an intersection where there are no traffic lights and no cars.
The appeal of EKITUZI is that you can enjoy it in any way you like, such as filling your mouth with one-handed food while waiting for a meeting, or standing and drinking while chatting with a stranger who comes next to you.
In addition to stalls run by Miyagi restaurants, there are also restaurants run by university students for a short period of time, so if you want to support the activities of the people who will support Miyagi's future, please stop by!
