Yakimochiya (hand-baked rice cracker house)
Built around 130 years ago, it is the largest thatched-roof house in Soyu Village. Here, you can experience making rice crackers by hand. You will make soft rice crackers that have been passed down in the local area for generations. These rice crackers are called "mochi senbei" and are loved by many people in Aomori. You can also add various toppings, which will give you the opportunity to have fun making your own original rice crackers
Menkuido (Handmade Soba House)
This is the oldest thatched roof house. It was built about 350 years ago. Here you can experience making your own soba noodles. Buckwheat flour produced in Tago City is used. After making the noodles, you can also eat the noodles you made yourself
Donhyarakan (Storyteller's House)
This is a southern style curved house. This is the only curved house in Soyu Village. It was built 200 years ago. Farm tools used in the past are on display. It is a place where you can experience the atmosphere of the past
