Yagiyama Zoological Park is built on the hills of Yagiyama. It has a very large area and is one of the leading zoos in Tohoku. Six types of foxes live in Miyagi Zao Fox Village

Miyagi Zao Fox Village is located in Minami Zao, one of the Zao mountain ranges in Shiroishi City, Miyagi Prefecture. As the name suggests, this is a zoo featuring foxes. You can see 6 types of foxes in total. This zoo originally started when the owner, Mitsuhiro Sato, took in foxes that were supposed to be killed and raised them.

The six types of foxes are the red fox, silver fox, blue fox, platinum fox, shadow fox, and cross fox. In total, there are over 100 foxes in all six species. All foxes are free range. Before you know it, a fox may be following you from behind or pulling your clothes unexpectedly.

You can interact with animals other than foxes

There are other animals besides foxes in the fox village. For example, animals such as rabbits, goats, and ponies. You can also interact with these animals. The shop has a wide variety of fox goods.
