on the second floor of Sendai Station,
next to the stained-glass window that's a popular meeting spot, the newly opened YoriMichi Portal is a hub where you can find tons of tourist information about Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, and even the entire Tohoku region!
Here, we introduce the six contents available at the YoriMichi Portal.

  • YoriMichi Navi
is a convenient information terminal with concierge functions such as creating sightseeing model courses and routes.
Since you can print out travel information, it's great to use before you start sightseeing.
  • BIKE rental
If you want to wander around downtown Sendai, DATE
By applying at one of these self-service registration machines, you can rent a bicycle instantly from a port located on the south side of the first floor of the west exit of Sendai Station.
There are approximately 40 ports in the city center, and you can return the bicycle to any of them, which is also very convenient.
  • This digital railway and sightseeing diorama
recreates the beautiful nature of the Tohoku region.
You can enjoy each landscape without having to travel there, so you'll never get bored of looking at it!
It also includes videos of seasonal scenery and festivals, so it can be used as inspiration for your next trip!

Using directional and vibration speakers, the background music can be enjoyed not just with your ears, but with your whole body.
What surprised me was the snow scene.
Stepping onto the steps creates the sensation of actually walking on snow!
I highly recommend this experience to tourists who have never experienced snow before!
  • The event bulletin board
displays event information for Sendai and Miyagi prefectures.
Since you can view information from the day of the event, it's a must-check feature as soon as you arrive at Sendai Station!
  • Traditional Crafts Exhibition: The
exhibition showcases Tohoku's handcrafted goods, including Kokeshi dolls.
The techniques passed down through generations, the people who continue to preserve tradition, and the crafts themselves that evolve with the times—
the Tohoku handcrafts, imbued with a sense of history and human warmth, are something you should definitely see at least once.
