Soba restaurant Ichian, located near Tendo Minami Station on the Ou Main Line in Tendo City, Yamagata Prefecture, temporarily closed due to a fire at the end of 2021, but reopened in June 2022

The store was newly built in 2022, so you might mistake it for a new store, but it is actually a historic store

There are two parking lots, one in front of the store and one across the street, but as it is a popular restaurant, they fill up quickly at lunchtime

I've been there twice, the first time around 2pm, when I parked my car in the parking lot in front of the store and was able to enter without any problems... but the second time, when I went at 11am when the store opened, there was already a huge line before opening time. The first parking lot in front of the store was full, so I was able to just barely find a spot in the second parking lot across the street

If you go at lunchtime, be prepared to wait in line. By the way, on my second visit, I had to wait in line for about 40 minutes before I could finally get in

A popular restaurant with delicious, filling meals and great value for money

Basically, everything is recommended, but"Ichian Soba,", seems to be popular! Itasoba comes with cold Nikusoba sauce.

This price for this volume in this day and age. I'm very satisfied with the price. And it's delicious

On my first visit, I hadthe cold meat soba. Perhaps because it was served cold, the meat was firm and satisfying. The soba noodles were thick and had a texture that I personally really liked, as they broke easily in my mouth. The soup was delicious too!

The mini katsudonhad a slightly unexpected flavor, almost like curry.

On my second visit,two-color soba noodles. I think it's quite rare to find a restaurant that serves Chinese noodles in this style. It's fun to eat them alternately and compare them. The tempura that came with the set was also crispy and delicious.

I came here hungry so I ended up ordering a large portion, but the regular portion was so big I think it would have been fine

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy their fill of Yamagata soba!
