HANDA GINZAN BREWERY (Koworimachi)

Koori Town was home to a large silver mine called Handa Ginzan until 1976 (Showa 51). This microbrewery, named Ginzan, began brewing in 2020 in an effort to create a new specialty product for Koori Town

The beer is made using secondary ingredients such as the Ourin green apple, which is said to have originated in Kogori Town, and peaches, a specialty of Fukushima, and is served fresh at the attached Cafe & Brewery, Uwamachi Cheers

Michinoku Fukushimaji Beer (Fukushima City)

They are a pioneer in the early days of craft beer in Fukushima Prefecture, having begun brewing in 1997. Nanakusa Nano Brewery (Nihonmatsu City)

This microbrewery was started in 2011 by Nanakusa Farm, an organic vegetable farm

The owners of the farm, a married couple, were both former career bureaucrats at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. After retiring from their jobs, they started the farm and began producing "Reconstruction Beer" in the hopes of helping with the recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake

Using barley and hops grown on the farm, and with local fruits such as apples, yuzu, plums, persimmons, and pears as secondary ingredients, we brew beer using traditional methods, with secondary fermentation in the bottle, allowing the flavor to change enjoyably depending on when the bottle is opened
