Sunset Beach Asamushi

This beach allows you to enjoy swimming while looking out at Yunoshima, a famous spot in Asamushi Onsen. It is an artificial sandy beach covering an area of 1.6 hectares and was completed in 1998. It is a popular beach where you can enjoy the beautiful sunset over Yunoshima.
Behind the sandy beach is a promenade and a lawn area with a comfortable beach house equipped with toilets, hot showers, and changing rooms. In addition to swimming, you can also enjoy marine activities such as kayaking
There is a large free parking lot and it is close to Aoimori Railway Asamushi Onsen Station, so you can wash off the seawater in the hot springs on your way back to feel refreshed
Nearby beaches in Mutsu Bay include Gourou Park Beach in Aomori city and Tofugaura Beach in Noheji town, and both beaches are loved by the people of Aomori prefecture

Located near the beach, this restaurant is famous for its extra-large tuna bowls, mainly made with Oma tuna, and raw sea urchin bowls, both of which are made with wild sea urchin
It has been famous locally for some time, but after being featured on several television programs, it has become a shop where long lines form long before opening time
Before eating, you may be overwhelmed by the impressive presentation of the tuna sashimi, but the fresh tuna is so delicious that it goes down smoothly

Kawauchi Marine Beach (Mutsu Bay: Mutsu City)

This beach is one of the largest swimming beaches on the Shimokita Peninsula, with a shallow, beautiful stretch of sand
During this period, beach huts will be set up so that even families can enjoy swimming in the sea all day long
There is a large parking lot (free) near the beach, and the toilet and shower building has two types of showers: indoor hot water (fee applies, 3 minutes per shower) and outdoor cold water (free), as well as coin lockers (240 slots)

Located about 5km east from the beach towards Mutsu city, this winery brews over 50 types of wine using grapes and apples from Aomori Prefecture and also sells them directly
In addition to wine, the hotel also sells Shimokita beef, a brand of beef, as well as hotel-made curry, bread, and sausages
It is recommended as an evening drink to soothe your tired body after a swim in the sea, or as a souvenir

Hiradate Beach (Mutsu Bay: Sotogahama Town)

The white Hiradate Lighthouse, located along National Route 280 on the Mutsu Bay side of the Tsugaru Peninsula, is the landmark
The water is very clear, the sand is clean, and the waves are gentle and shallow, so even families with small children can enjoy swimming safely. There is a roadside station and campground nearby, as well as free parking for 150 cars
The Shimokita Peninsula on the opposite shore is about 10km away, and if the weather is good you can enjoy the view of Hotokegaura on the opposite shore and the traffic of ferries and other boats

Near the beach, there is a campsite with 10 Scandinavian-style cottages and 20 auto-camping spaces, as well as a hot spring facility
The cottage can accommodate up to six people and comes with bedding, tableware, a bathroom, toilet, air conditioning and heating, and plenty of amenities, so it's recommended to use it as a base to relax on the beach
The Tairadate Roadside Station "OH! Daiba" is also nearby, where you can purchase meals, bento boxes, ingredients, and souvenirs

This compact, shallow beach was newly built in a park adjacent to the Sea of Japan Base, a 10-minute walk from Ajigasawa Station on the JR Gono Line, which runs along the Sea of Japan. The swimming area is marked with ropes and buoys, and there is a lifeguard on duty
The beach has fine sand that is perfect for playing, and children can also have fun playing on the grass
Other facilities include hot showers (for a fee), changing rooms (free; lockers are available for a fee), toilets, and the ability to use simple tents, making this a recommended beach for families with small children

Located just a 5-minute walk from JR Hachinohe Line's Mutsu Shirahama Station, this beach boasts beautiful white sand, famous for its singing sand, and the endless blue Pacific Ocean, and has even been selected as one of the "100 Best Beaches."
