The main venue for Yamagata Sound and Light Fantasia is Mogamigawa Furusato Park in Sagae City, Yamagata Prefecture. It is about a five-minute drive from the Sagae Smart Interchange on the Yamagata Expressway, or a five-minute taxi ride from JR Sagae Station if using public transportation.
The theme is "Forest of Light"
This year marks the second time that the Yamagata Sound and Light Fantasia has been held. It is even more powerful than the first time, with approximately 150,000 light bulbs transporting the audience into a fantastical space.

The most eye-catching feature in the center of the venue is the 7.5m tall main tree, with an even taller 10m high tower just behind it

Above all, the sound and light illumination show is a must-see, on a scale that is rarely seen in Tohoku. The show is directed by the team behind "Caretta Illumination," which is held at "Caretta Shiodome" (Minato Ward, Tokyo), a popular spot for spectacular illuminations every year, and two shows are held every 15 minutes.
Program
Cousin's "Winter Fantasy ~seasonXX Mix~" is a classic winter song that will make you feel even more romantic. Proposing at the start of the show will surely create an unforgettable memory.
Asakura Saya's "River Boat Song" is a collaboration with Asakura Saya, whose singing voice is familiar to Yamagata residents, and who is well known for the "Kinryu" commercial song. Listening to her powerful voice, you can almost picture Yamagata's harsh winter cold and magnificent four seasons.
