Taiyo Pan is a bakery company in Takahata Town, Higashiokitama District!

The history of Taiyo Pan dates back to 1948

Founded in 1948, Taiyo Bread initially started under the name "Okitama Food Processing Co., Ltd."As a local bakery, it not only sold its products to the general public but also supplied bread to school lunches from 1965 onwards. It's safe to say thatfor people in Yamagata Prefecture, it's a bread they've likely eaten without even realizing it.

The bakery adopted its current name, Taiyo Pan, in August 1976, andhas been loved by the people of Yamagata Prefecture under that name.

What kind of bread is Bettachoco?

Taiyo Bread's flagship product"Beta Choco," was created with the desire to "let children eat lots of chocolate" during a time when chocolate and similar treats were not readily available.

This bread is made by sandwiching buttercream between open buns and then drizzling it with plenty of chocolate

This is bread that will make children excited just by looking at it (though parents have to think about the mess it will make)

Taiyo Pan's products, including Bettachoco, can be purchased at direct sales outlets, local supermarkets (mostly in Yamagata Prefecture, but some in Miyagi Prefecture), and events

Incidentally, while Beta Choco is sold in an open-faced hot dog bun,the proper way to eat it is to close it, which also makes it less messy.
