Tsugaru Ichidaisama Zodiac Pilgrimage Site

Tsugaru Ichidaisama is a sacred site for the twelve zodiac animals, centered around Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, which was a castle town, where people visit the guardian deity of the year they were born. There are nine temples, but for some reason, there are only two temples for the Year of the Rabbit.

It is said that it is best to visit the shrine mainly during New Year's or Lunar New Year, so it might be a good idea to visit during your first visit of the year
