Why Land?
One of the main attractions,"Why Land,"is an exhibition space designed to help visitors appreciate the richness and importance of nature and forest resources through the eyes of insects, andto encourage them to learn in a progressive way, from insects to science. It introduces the fascinating ecology of insects based on 12 "why?" questions.

There are plenty of interactive exhibits that will pique your curiosity, enticing visitors of all ages, from children to adults, as they can learn about the animals' ecology in detail

Solving independent research problems with our summer vacation program
Mushi Tech World holds experience programs every day during the summer vacation period, except on closed days
Programs such as the "Crafts Program," "Experiment Program," and "Nature Experience Program" are fun and educational for children and adults alike, and are perfect for children and parents who are wondering what to do for their summer vacation independent study!
For example, the "Craft Program" allows you to make rockets that fly using water and air power from plastic bottles, make slime, and create liquid kaleidoscopes.
The "Experiment Program" involves making ice cream and observing how popcorn pops.
The "Nature Experience Program" is an outdoor activity where you observe and catch creatures around Mushitech World and find out their names.
Each program lasts approximately 50 minutes. All programs are divided into four difficulty levels, from "suitable for preschoolers and up" to "suitable for upper elementary school students," so you can find a program that suits your child's age.
The cost varies depending on the program, ranging from free to a few hundred yen for materials, but the fact that you don't need to prepare any materials yourself is a huge plus for parents!
Details of the summer holiday programsthe websitecan be found on
Please note that programs requiring reservations must be booked by phone in advance. There are also programs that do not require reservations and are open to all, so you can enjoy yourself even if you decide to visit on a whim!
My child, when visiting Mushitech World, happened to participate in an experiment and ended up using it as their summer research project. It was a real lifesaver as summer vacation was drawing to a close.
Between August 11th and August 17th, there will be programs that do not require advance reservations. You will need a numbered ticket on the day, which is available on a first-come, first-served basis, but since no reservations are required, it's a good idea to go during this period!
