[Craft beer in Iwate Prefecture (Morioka City and Northern Prefecture area)] 7 unique local beers!

There are the largest number of craft beer breweries in Iwate Prefecture in the six Tohoku prefectures, each featuring fresh beer with a unique taste.

As of June 2022, there are 12 breweries in the prefecture, and here we will introduce breweries in the northern part of the prefecture, including Morioka.

Baren Beer (Morioka City/Shizukuishi Town)

Baeren Brewery is a pioneering brewery in Iwate Prefecture, producing a wide variety of seasonal beers as well as German-style beers made using traditional methods.Ales such as chocolate stout and apple ``dry cider'' are also popular. .

Vegetable Garden Microbrewery (Morioka City)

Cucina, an Italian restaurant located in a vegetable garden in Morioka City, has become a microbrewery producing ambitious craft beer under the production of Baeren Brewery.

Nanbu Craft (Morioka City)

A Morioka home remodeling company renovated a model house in the city's Yawata-cho area and began producing craft beer as Nanbu Craft in March 2022.

Akatsuki Brewery (Hachimantai City)

Akatsuki Brewery in Tokyo opened the Akatsuki Brewery Hachimantai Factory and released 4 types of organic beer ``Dragon Eye'' made with spring water from Mt. Iwate.

Two directly managed restaurants in Tokyo serve it by the glass.

``Dragon Eye'' is a natural phenomenon in which Kagami-numa near the summit of Hachimantai looks like a ``dragon's eye'' when the snow melts.

Yukino Chikara (Nishiwaga Town)

Okinawa's Helios Sake Brewery took over the facilities of Ginga Kogen Beer in the Sawanai district, which borders Akita Prefecture and has the heaviest snowfall in Iwate Prefecture, and brewed this beer with natural water from the Ou Mountains.

A microbrewery that opened in 2019 in front of JR Hanamaki Station and brews delicious beer with the concept of ``A new Hanamaki with craft beer!''
