Iwate Prefecture has the largest number of craft beer breweries of any of the six Tohoku prefectures, each producing fresh beers with unique flavors.
As of June 2022, there are 12 breweries in the prefecture, and here we will introduce breweries in the northern part of the prefecture, including Morioka.
Baren Beer (Morioka City/Shizukuishi Town)
Baeren Brewery is a pioneering brewery in Iwate Prefecture, producing a wide variety of seasonal beers as well as German-style beers made using traditional methods.Ales such as chocolate stout and apple ``dry cider'' are also popular. .
Different beers are produced at breweries in Morioka City and Shizukuishi, and you can enjoy draft beer from barrels at four directly managed pubs and restaurants in Morioka City.

Nanbu Craft (Morioka City)
A Morioka home remodeling company renovated a model house in the city's Yawata-cho area and began producing craft beer as Nanbu Craft in March 2022.

``Dragon Eye'' is a natural phenomenon in which Kagami-numa near the summit of Hachimantai looks like a ``dragon's eye'' when the snow melts.
