Recommended for improving your luck! A trip to visit power spots in Iwate Prefecture!

Power spots are places where you can improve your luck just by visiting them. They've become very popular recently!
This time, we've gathered together power spots in Iwate Prefecture! If you're worried about something or want to make a fresh start, this is a must-see!

Chusonji Temple

Chusonji Temple is home to several important cultural properties, including the Golden Hall, which is registered as a World Heritage Site.
It is also famous as a power spot.

Chusonji Golden Hall

Among all the temples in Chusonji, the Golden Hall is said to have the strongest power.
As its name suggests, it is said to bring good fortune in terms of money, and is a popular spot within the temple!

The Buddha enshrined there is said to have the power to improve and enhance human relationships, and it is said that one can also receive blessings for finding love

Another spot that I definitely recommend within the vast grounds of Chusonji Temple is Tsukimizaka, where large cedar trees over 300 years old line the grounds

The air here is extremely clear, making it a spot overflowing with the power to purify the soul. Walking along the path from Tsukimizaka to the main road will help you clear away all distractions and evil thoughts. It's not so much about
bringing good luck! It's about facing yourself and regaining your composure! It's a place full of energy. Please take a stroll here and take in the clear air at your leisure.

It is a Tendai sect temple whose principal image is Yakushi Nyorai.

In the middle of the temple grounds is a large pond called Oizumigaike.
It is said that the energy of money accumulates in the water, and the entire pond is said to be a power spot for financial luck.

Motsuji Temple is located a short drive from Chusonji Temple, and it is said that you can gain even greater power by purifying your bad luck at Chusonji Temple before visiting Motsuji Temple, so it is a place you should visit together

Takkoku-no-Iwaya Bishamon-do Temple

Takkoku-no-Iwaya Bishamon-do is the oldest temple in Hiraizumi, Iwate Prefecture.
It has a mysterious structure, with the shrine nestled inside a sheer cliff.
Founded 1,200 years ago, it is a famous spot beloved by many historical figures, including Minamoto no Yoritomo and Date Masamune.

It is said that many defeated warriors hid in this shrine long ago, and it is filled with the power of "rebirth" as a place where they could refresh their spirits before setting out on a new front.
This is a power spot recommended for those who want to refresh their spirits or make a new start.

Koishihama Station

As its name suggests, Koishihama Station is a popular stop for those hoping for success in love.
It is an unmanned station on the Sanriku Railway Minami Rias Line, a local line in Iwate Prefecture.
When it opened in 1985, the station was called Koishihama Station, but in 2009 it was renamed Koishihama Station with the aim of revitalizing the area.
The platform, located on a small hill with a great view, offers a great view of the Sanriku Sea, making it a popular destination for tourists.

Ema (votive plaques) made from scallop shells are displayed in the waiting room.
These are unique plaques made from scallops, a local specialty.
Among the various wishes, many stand out, as they are often prayers for success in love, in the hope of taking advantage of the station's name.

Although it has a short history, it is said that writing a votive tablet and ringing the bell of happiness will bring success in love, and many young women and couples visit the shrine

Ryusendo Cave

Ryusendo Cave is one of Japan's three largest limestone caves and is also designated as a national natural monument.
Its highly transparent underground lake, known as Dragon Blue, has been selected as one of Japan's 100 famous waters.

The shining blue underground lake has an atmosphere that makes you feel as if you could be sucked in at any moment, making it a very spiritual place.
It is said that those who visit will be able to "open their third eye and see the truth of things," and "break through the status quo and move on to a new stage."

Because of this, it is said to bring good luck in competitions, work, and health.
In recent years, it has also become known as a power spot for romantic success.
This began in 2014 when it was certified as a "sacred place for lovers."
A heart-shaped dragon monument was installed at the entrance, which has been attracting attention.
The third underground lake inside the cave occasionally appears to be shaped like a heart, and many people visit, feeling that the naturally formed heart shape brings good luck.

Ryusendo Cave was flooded due to heavy rainfall in August 2016 and is currently closed.
It is scheduled to reopen around March 2017.
