Shochu sugar from Sekiguchiya Confectionery Shop (Shinmyocho, Morioka City)

This long-established sweets store was founded in 1893 (Meiji 26) , and has been handcrafting simple-tasting Morioka sweets for four generations.
Morioka Dagashi are popular sweets made from rice grains, beans, sesame seeds, brown sugar, and starch syrup , and once cherished as a preserved food for the harsh winter.
Shochu sugar

an original creation from Sekiguchiya and is aimed at adults. The crispy outer coating is made from boiled sugar and crumbles when licked or bitten, releasing the slightly bitter shochu syrup inside .

Founded in 2001, this small winery practices "local production and consumption," producing wine and shiloh from locally grown apples and red wine from grapes grown in its own vineyards .

Iwachu's Nambu ironware (Minamisenboku, Morioka City)

Under the patronage of successive lords of the Nanbu domain, the techniques for making Nanbu ironware were refined during the Edo period, and with the development of the tea ceremony, the name became known throughout the country.
