Aone Onsen
Opened in 1528. The name comes from the fact that it was boiled under the green tree.
During the Edo period, the famous hot spring was also known as the Aone Goten, a goten hot spring of the Date clan of the Sendai Domain, and it is said that even sick people would soon recover from illness when they entered the bath, honouring the title of Amida.
Jappo no Yu
The only public bath at Aone Onsen that remains is this "Jappo no Yu," which opened in 2006.
