Torimasa's Teppanyaki Offal

[Fukushima Prefecture] From Sendai Station to Fukushima City! A short gourmet trip for two days and one night by express bus!

This time it's a short gourmet trip!

We'll tell you about our ``one-night, two-day trip full of delicious food using the express bus'' in Fukushima City, which is very close to Sendai!

let's head to Miyako Sendai Express Bus Center at the west exit of JR Sendai Station

From Miyako Sendai Expressway Bus Center to Fukushima!

The express bus stop for Fukushima is the Miyako Sendai Express Bus Center located at the west exit of Sendai Station. It is located on the first floor of Tokyo Tatemono Sendai Building, opposite AER.

On the way there, you will board the bus at the stop opposite the bus center, and on the way back, you will get off at the stop across the street from the Azure Sendai Building.

First, go to the ticket office. A round trip ticket with two tickets is a little cheaper!

The regular fare for the express bus to Fukushima is 1,300 yen one way. However, if you purchase a double round trip ticket, it will cost 2,200 yen. You will save 400 yen! It's the norm in this world to go and come back... I bought two round trip tickets for 2,200 yen without hesitation!

2-piece ticket from Sendai to Fukushima

And this ticket is valid for 2 years! I don't know why, but I feel a little relieved when the expiration date is long.

As I was sitting in the waiting room, I heard an announcement: ``If you are boarding for Fukushima at ◯ hour ◯ minute, please line up at number 40.''

The bus stop for Fukushima is number 40. The time required is approximately 1 hour and 15 to 20 minutes. close!

There are no breaks along the way as the train only stops at each station. Pay your fare when you get off the bus. Tear off one ticket and put it in the fare box and get off the bus.

Arrived at Fukushima Station East Exit!

The bus I boarded from Sendai Station arrived at the Fukushima Station East Exit bus pool in no time. It's really close!

When I got off the bus and strolled around the station, Fukushima City's tourism mascot, Momorin, greeted me! This Momorin at the east exit was installed in 2020!

Momorin at the west exit, which will appear later, was installed in 2019, so Momorin at the east exit is her junior.

First meal of a small gourmet trip! Go to “Marushin Ramen Ekimae store”!

First of all, eat your fill! the Marushin Ramen Ekimae store that I had listed in advance ! It's about a 3-5 minute walk from Fukushima Station.

Marushin Ramen Station Store
Soy sauce ramen 800 yen

"Double Char Siu Noodles" chashu pork on top , but this time I ordered the "Soy Sauce Ramen".

The noodles are flat, thick, curly noodles. This is it! This is what I wanted to eat!

a two-layered soup , and at first it's salt-based and light, but as you eat it, it starts to taste like soy sauce, so you can enjoy two flavors in one bowl.

Marushin Ramen Ekimae branch (slight spicy and garlic)
spicy and garlic

On the table are some spices and garlic to add flavor. Ramen is delicious as it is, but you can make it even more to your liking by combining these two! I'm very satisfied!

After filling your stomach, take a leisurely stroll around the area and check in to your hotel.

I got "Momo ole" from Rakuo Kyodo Dairy, which is famous for its cafe au lait Not too sweet and easy to drink! delicious.

A popular restaurant that requires reservations! Hormone teppanyaki and gyoza restaurant “Tomasa”

This trip is a leisurely gourmet trip without a packed schedule! I was planning to...so I relaxed at the hotel and waited for the sun to set.

And then it was evening! Let's go to the restaurant that we had reserved for a long time!

Fukushima city culture street
Bunka Street

, the bar street in Fukushima . It was my first time to experience Fukushima at night, but it had a great atmosphere! There were so many shops that you would want to wander into!

And if you walk a little down an alley from the main street of Bunka Dori...

Torimasa
Torimasa

There it was! ! ! Torimasa! Torimasa is a restaurant that mainly serves hormone teppanyaki and gyoza . lol

It is no exaggeration to say that I decided to go to Fukushima because I wanted to come here.

Torimasa (hormone set)
Set 2,000 yen per person (hormones in the photo serve 2 people)

The basic style is a course style, with offal teppanyaki, several types of a la carte dishes, and gyoza served at different times.

The contents of this day's set were as follows.

Set contents 2000 yen per person

  • cold tofu
  • Edamame
  • Fresh incense

If the above is not enough, you can order additional items separately.

The gyoza that comes out at the perfect time! I'm very satisfied!

After that, we had a fun night and moved on to our second day.

On the second day, we went from Fukushima Station to Iizaka Onsen. And then I'm on my way home.

From Fukushima Station to Iizaka Onsen, it takes 23 minutes one way on Fukushima Kotsu's local train, Iizaka Line (Iiden). It's also attractive that you can just drop by as it takes about 20 to 25 minutes by car.

The Iizaka Onsen edition is summarized in a separate article.

After spending a day enjoying Iizaka Onsen and returning to Fukushima, I still had some time before the bus home, so I decided to take a little walk around the west exit of Fukushima Station.

West Exit Momorin

Since Halloween is coming up, I decided to use Halloween Momorin♪ There is a small difference between the West Exit Momorin and the East Exit Momorin, have you noticed?

The answer is written in the summary at the end of this article!

Our last meal was at the conveyor belt sushi Umakatei Fukushima Station Pivot branch inside Fukushima Station.

Before heading back to Sendai, let's go to the conveyor belt sushi restaurant on the first floor of Fukushima Station!

From Fukushima Station to Sendai Station

We had a great time, so it's time to head home.

Before boarding the bus to Sendai, go to the nearby 7-Eleven! Get the “flavored rice” only available in Fukushima Prefecture!

In Fukushima Prefecture, mixed rice and seasoned rice are called ajigohan.

As it is a large rice ball, it was hearty and had a nice sweet flavor!

Take the bus bound for Sendai Station from Fukushima Station East Exit bus stop number 10, which is the same place you got off when you came from Sendai Station to Fukushima Station!

Riding the bus to Sendai... Arrived in no time while I was taking a nap!

Sometimes there are buses that have different travel times for round trips, but this one takes about 1 hour and 15 to 20 minutes on the way back, which is the same time as on the way there.

We arrived across the road from the Miyagi Kotsu Expressway Bus Center.

summary

I thought that Fukushima City, which is less than an hour away from Sendai City and can be visited for just 1,000 yen, is the perfect candidate for a short trip for people living in Sendai!

I feel like it's pretty easy to change the mood and go drinking on Bunka Street instead of Kokubuncho.

By the way, the difference between the Momorin at the east and west exits of Fukushima Station is that the peach and apple in their hands are reversed !
