"Golden Country, Iwate" Food Show in Metaverse

A new initiative from Iwate Prefecture! A food show from the "Golden Land of Iwate" in the Metaverse!

On December 12, 2023, the Iwate Prefectural Government will host a new kind of food show showcasing locally produced ingredients. The venue? Ametaverse space!

Some of you may be wondering what's going on, so we'll explain the details of the event!

What is the "Golden Country Iwate" Food Show in Metaverse?

The "Golden Land Iwate" Food Show in Metaverse isa virtual space on the internet (metaverse) wherepeople from all walks of life, including local producers, buyers, chefs, aspiring farmers, and general consumers, can interact through avatars.

In short,it's a new kind of food show that you can participate in from anywhere, whether it's from home or work, as long as you have a PC or smartphone.

What is the Metaverse?

The menu will include 11 dishes in total (planned), such as cod brandade, Miyako trout salmon pie, Otsuchi venison roast and consommé, Iwate short-horned beef lasagna, beet tiramisu, burdock chocolate terrine, and goat milk salt bread.more than 25 ingredients from Iwate Prefecturewill be used!

The "Iwate Food Box" is produced by Chef Morohoshi,the head chef of Ginza Cruise. A talk session between local producers and Chef Morohoshi will also be held on the day.
