table of contents
The center of Tokyo is filled with skyscrapers and a futuristic landscape. Don't you sometimes find yourself missing the beautiful nature when you look at such scenery all the time? This time, for those people, we will introduce recommended gardens and parks that you can enjoy in Tokyo.
Hamarikyu Gardens (Chuo Ward)
https://www.instagram.com/p/BR_86FLj2wb/The first place we will introduce is Hamarikyu Gardens, which is a 5-minute walk from Shiodome Station on the Toei Oedo Line and Yurikamome Line. The pond in this garden has an unusual feature where seawater flows in and the scenery changes with the ebb and flow. The park has a peony garden and a flower garden filled with seasonal flowers, as well as rows of cherry blossom trees that can be admired for a long period of time as various varieties are planted. There is also a rest area where you can enjoy matcha tea while admiring the scenery, so it's a good idea to stop by.

Old Furukawa Garden (Kita Ward)
At the Old Koga Garden, located a 7-minute walk from Kaminakazato Station on the Keihin Tohoku Line, you can enjoy seasonal flowers such as roses, weeping cherry blossoms, and daffodils. Also, the flower garden is not the only highlight of this garden. Don't miss the Western-style building designed by Josiah Conder, who also designed Japan's most representative modern buildings such as Rokumeikan. The contrast between the beautiful flowers and the elegant Western-style building is worth seeing.

Todoroki Valley Park (Setagaya Ward)
Todoroki Keikoku Park, a 3-minute walk from Todoroki Station on the Tokyu Oimachi Line, is a place where you can enjoy the feeling of having a picnic in the suburbs even though you are in the city. Although it is located near a residential area, there are dense trees along the river, allowing you to enjoy the authentic valley scenery. The last place we would like to introduce is Mizumoto Park, which is the largest Suigo Park in Tokyo's 23 wards. The highlights of this park are the 1.2 km long row of poplar trees and the 1,800 metasequoia trees. The area is larger than other parks, so you can enjoy the vast forest. Other facilities include a babbling plaza where you can enjoy playing in the water in the summer, a bird sanctuary with a waterside environment designed for birds, and a barbecue plaza where you can enjoy nature with friends and family.
