Battle of Hitotoribashi Bridge (Fukushima Prefecture)

Following an incident in which Hatakeyama Yoshitsugu, the lord of Nihonmatsu Castle, kidnapped Date Masamune's father, Terumune, and both died on the way, a battle broke out between the Date clan and an allied army of southern Oshu daimyo, including the Satake and Ashina clans, near Hitotori Bridge in Motomiya, Adachi County (present-day Aota Moniwa, Motomiya City, Fukushima Prefecture) on November 17, 1586 (Gregorian calendar: January 6, 1586).
