Battle of Hitotoribashi Bridge (Fukushima Prefecture)

The incident in which Hatakeyama Yoshitsugu, lord of Nihonmatsu Castle, abducted Date Terumune, the father of Date Masamune, and both died along the way, triggered abetween the Date clanand a coalition army of southern Oshu daimyo, including the Satake and Ashina clans, near Hitotoribashi in the former Adachi District, Motomiya (present-day Moniwa, Aota, Motomiya City, Fukushima Prefecture).
