October is the season of harvest, and the date 26th is a play on words with "tsu (2) garu (6)," so JA Zen-Noh Aomori has designated October 26th as "Tsugaru Roman Day," a commemorative day for Aomori Prefecture's brand rice

Due to the shift to the new variety "Harewata," the handling of "Tsugaru Roman" ended with the 2022 harvest, and seed supply has also been stopped from the 2024 harvest onwards, effectively ending production
