Special movie released on THE NORTH FACE's Japan site

``ROCK TRIP 2017'' is a special project published on THE NORTH FACE's Japan site. A trip movie of four world-class trad climbers has been released, set on Mt. Kinka in Miyagi Prefecture.

This movie begins with a call from Yuji Hirayama, a top climber representing Japan who won the World Cup twice in 1998 and 2000. A group of four climbers including Toru Nakajima, a young climber from Nagano, James Pearson, a leading British trad climber, and Caroline Shabardini, a female climber from France, will take on the challenge of climbing Mt. Kinka.

In addition to the movie, the special site also includes the profiles, comments, and photos of each athlete.

Recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake and the island's rich nature

Mt. Kinka, located in Miyagi Prefecture, was of course damaged during the Great East Japan Earthquake. The movie also mentions the local people who are continuing to rebuild and the rich nature that is being regenerated.

A spectacular crime scene that feels like it's from overseas

During the actual climbing part, there are dynamic scenes that will make you wonder if such a location existed on Mt. Kinka. Taking this opportunity, the number of tourists who come for climbing may increase.

The movie can be viewed on the special site below.
