[Miyagi] The great nature of Mt. Kinka seen from a climber's perspective is amazing!

A special movie released on THE NORTH FACE's Japan website

The North Face Japan website has released a special feature called "ROCK TRIP 2017." The trip movie features four world-class traditional climbers on Mount Kinka in Miyagi Prefecture

The film begins with an appeal from Yuji Hirayama, a top climber representing Japan who has won the World Cup twice, in 1998 and 2000. The four climbers, including Toru Nakajima, a young climber from Nagano, James Pearson, a leading British trad climber, and Caroline Chabaldini, a female climber from France, take on the challenge of climbing Mount Kinka

In addition to the movie, the special site also features each athlete's profile, comments, photos, etc

Recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake and the island's rich natural environment

Mount Kinka, located in Miyagi Prefecture, was of course damaged during the Great East Japan Earthquake. The film also touches on the local people's ongoing recovery and the revival of the area's abundant natural environment

A spectacular crime scene just like in other countries

The actual climbing section is filled with dynamic scenes that make you wonder if such a location really exists on Mt. Kinka. Perhaps this will encourage an increase in tourists coming here for climbing
