Located at the foot of Mount Adatara in Nihonmatsu City, Fukushima PrefectureDake Onsenin 1955as one of only seven national health resorts in Japanwas a pioneering hot spring resort, designated
Originally a hot spring resort that has existed since the Heian period, it has been destroyed many times due to disasters and wars, and each time it has changed its name and been rebuilt, making it an indomitable hot spring resort that continues to this day
This time, we will introduce the charms and benefits of Dake Onsen, as well as nearby attractions
I visited a retro public bathhouse with excellent hygiene management!

Located at the entrance to the hot spring town of Gake Onsenthe public bathhouse "Gake no Yu"has a reception area (or counter) that has a Showa-era feel right at the entrance.
It looks a little old and cluttered, butit's cleanand has a nice feel to it. The bathhouse is down the stairs ahead.

The trail goes down quite a distance. The discoloration on the floor tells us that many people have visited
On this particular day, we were able to have the place all to ourselves for filming, but of course, on normal days, youhave to be considerate and avoid taking too many photos.

You can use coin lockers to store your valuables, or leave them at the reception desk. Leaving your belongings with the reception desk staff is a touching example of Showa-era charm
It's really nice that every corner is thoroughly cleaned

The bathtub is on the smaller side, but the slightlycloudy water sparkles with mineral deposits andis a free-flowing, overflowing type.
It was a little hot, but the receptionist said, "If it's too hot, turn on the water while you bathe," so I went ahead and turned on the water while I bathed. The window was also open, so a pleasant breeze blew through, and I was able to enjoy the bath without getting too hot
Although the facilities are a little old, they have showers and sell towels and shampoo sets at the reception, sorecommend for a casual visit.
By the way, after bathing, my skin didn't feel tight at all! It was so refreshing that I didn't feel the need to moisturize, and it was definitely a hot spring I'd like to visit again
a great place for therapeutic hot spring treatments, offering both room-only staysand long-term accommodations, soa good option for a workcation!

The spring has a low pH of 2.5, making it an acidic spring with high antibacterial properties, and is attracting attention as a spring that is expected to be effective against atopic dermatitis
The foot baths during your walk are also great!

Cherry blossom trees line both sides of the road, and there is a quiet foot bath along the road

This is it! The milky white foot bath has a hot spring feel, and the water temperature was just right, allowing me to truly relax. It would be great to visit during cherry blossom season and enjoy the view of the cherry blossoms while bathing
