[Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture] A first for Tohoku! Head to the Jump Shop in Sendai, the holy land of Jump manga!
A man should never lose the heart of a boy.
No matter how old he gets, he should continue to chase his dreams.
If there's one thing that symbolizes the heart of a boy, it's shonen manga!
The sight of ordinary, unremarkable characters growing through adventures is something that gets the blood pumping no matter how old you are.
The official shop of Shonen Jump, the magazine that has long been a driving force in the shonen manga scene, will be opening in Tohoku for the first time on June 29, 2018!
This time, we will introduce the Jump Shop that has opened at Sendai PARCO!
What is Jump Shop?
Jump Shop is a dream store that sells merchandise, comics, DVDs, and even snacks featuring Jump heroes! With
a wide variety of products on display, from Shueisha original items to anime goods, just browsing will stir the hearts of any boy!
Jump Shop exclusive items are constantly being released, so one of its charms is that you can discover something new every time you visit.
As of July 2018, there are 11 stores nationwide!
It's a rare shop, as it's currently the only one in northern Japan, located in Sendai!
In fact, Sendai is a pilgrimage site for fans of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Haikyuu!!, and more recently, Jujutsu Kaisen.
Unfortunately, Jujutsu Kaisen left Sendai after only three episodes, but perhaps its strong connection to Shonen Jump led to it becoming the first store in northern Japan.
People from not only the Tohoku region but also Hokkaido should definitely stop by!
What is the Jump Shop in Sendai like?

When you visit the Jump Shop on the 8th floor of the PARCO main building, the first thing you'll see is the character that symbolizes Jump today!
It's Monkey D. Luffy, the protagonist of the undisputed flagship manga, "ONE PIECE"!
The nearly life-sized object is quite impressive!
You'll be overwhelmed by the intensity of his eyes!
As expected of the future Pirate King!
Around Luffy, there are also objects shaped like magazines on display!
On the double-page spread, you can enjoy projection mapping featuring cool scenes from popular manga!
The scene I captured with my camera this time is the famous "Izuku Midoriya VS Katsumi Bakugo" from "My Hero Academia." The
giant double-page spread of Jump is even more exciting than seeing it in the magazine!
It's been a long time since I felt my blood boiling with excitement!
After leaving the exhibition zone, you finally arrive at the shopping zone.
It's packed with merchandise from popular manga, making it incredibly difficult to decide what to buy! It's
also great that they sell merchandise from legendary manga series, not just currently serialized ones!
There is also a section for "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure," which was previously serialized in Jump but has now moved to Ultra Jump, so if you've come all the way to Sendai (Morioh Town, S City, M Prefecture), it might be a good idea to pick up some JoJo merchandise as a souvenir!
There's also a Pokemon Center on the same floor!
The only official shop in Tohoku located on the 8th floor of the PARCO main building isn't just the Jump Shop.
Surprisingly, the Pokémon Center Tohoku is also located on the same floor!
The Pokémon Center, formerly located on the 3rd floor of the neighboring AER shopping building, has been renovated and relocated to PARCO!
The spacious store offers a wide variety of adorable Pokémon merchandise!
They even sell Tohoku-exclusive items, making them great souvenir options!
summary
The first official shops in Tohoku are located on the ○th floor of PARCO.
With Jump and Pokémon merchandise being so popular, you might have trouble choosing souvenirs!
In that case, why not try buying something from both?
Jump Shop and Pokémon Center are places that everyone can enjoy, from children to their parents who were once children themselves.
When you visit Sendai, be sure to stop by!
