Miyagi Zao Kokeshi Museum

Miyagi Prefecture is also known as the "Kokeshi Prefecture."

There are four types of kokeshi dolls in the prefecture: Naruko, Sakunami, Yajiro, and Togatta, each with its own unique characteristics. Taking the time to appreciate these kokeshi dolls is an essential part of enjoying Togatta!

The Miyagi Zao Kokeshi Museum displays a large number of kokeshi dolls from within the prefecture and surrounding areas. From stylish kokeshi to chunky ones and even ones without any patterns, kokeshi dolls you've never seen before are waiting for you.

There is also a corner where you can try painting a kokeshi doll. Even if it's your first time, the artisans will kindly support you and you'll be able to do it quite well!

Togatta Onsen Kami no Yu

The hot spring town of Togatta is also a town for foodies. Foodie tickets are sold for 600 yen, so you can enjoy fried foods and soft serve ice cream while walking around the town! If you get tired from walking, you can take a break in the foot bath at Kami no Yu,
