is sure to attract men, and women too . It is lined with a wide selection of fine sake from Fukushima , a region famous for its sake. Even sake that is difficult to purchase in the regular size (1.8L bottle) is sold in a one-cup size that is unique to roadside stations.

This time, I bought two sakes that I had been interested in for a while, "Daishichi" and "Oku no Matsu," both from breweries in Nihonmatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture , and had the luxury of opening them at the same time and comparing them. Perhaps this kind of enjoyment is possible only with One Cup sake.

Gyunyuuya Shokudo , a ramen shop along Aizu Nishi Kaido that became famous overnight for the contrast between its name and its flavor, also has a souvenir corner where you can enjoy ramen at home. The actual store is small, but it is so popular that there are often long lines on weekends.
