June is especially the month when vibrant, vibrant flowers like roses and hydrangeas are in full bloom.

Yakurai Garden Rose & Herb Fair

Roses are Miyagi's signature flower in June.
The vibrantly colored roses that bloom throughout the month capture the hearts of those who see them.

Yakurai Garden will be holding a Rose & Herb Fair from June 3 to July 2.
In the 15-hectare flower garden at the foot of Mount Yakurai, you can see 6,000 roses of 350 varieties, and it seems that this will be the best time to see them all year round.

Rose seedlings will also be on sale during the period, with around 40 varieties of roses available for purchase directly from the gardeners on weekends

The garden has eight themed gardens, including the Rose Garden, Herb Garden, and Fururu no Oka, and delights us with the various colors of the seasons. In June, roses and herbs are in full bloom, but in July, lavender is in full bloom

Taga Castle Ruins Iris Festival

The Taga Castle Ruins, a national special historic site, holds the Iris Festival every year.
This traditional event will be held for the 33rd time in 2023.
On the 21,000m² site, you will find 3 million irises, Japanese irises, and irises of 800 different varieties.
