July 8th is a commemorative day established to mark the start of test sales of "Suzune," a sparkling sake produced by Ichinokura, a sake brewery in Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, on July 8, 1998. It is said to have been named because the delicate bubbles when poured into a glass resemble the sound of bells.

This sparkling sake is popular even among those who don't usually like sake, as it's easy to drink. It's a long-selling product from Miyagi Prefecture
