Every year, the Aizu Tajima Gion Festival is held for three days from July 22nd to 24th in Tajima, Minamiaizu Town, Fukushima Prefecture

The Nanahokai procession, known as the largest bridal procession in Japan, is famous. It consists of about 30 women dressed in the Edo period bridal attire of "long-sleeved kimono with their hair covered by a tsunokakushi (a type of bridal headdress) and styled in a bunkin takashimada hairstyle," along with over 100 relatives and retainers of the Otoya group, who march toward the shrine to offer seven offerings.

On July 23rd , the second day of the Aizu Tajima Gion Festival, the most famous event, the "Nanahokai Procession," takes place from early in the morning.
