Yokohama Beer collaborates with Morioka's Beeren Brewery for the first time
"Yell" is the first collaborative beer between Yokohama Beer and Beeren Brewery. The relationship between the two companies has been deepening over the past few years, and their friendship has continued not only through beer making but also through sports, such as when members of Yokohama Beer participated in a marathon in Iwate Prefecture
This time, that connection has materialized in the form of craft beer. The product name is a play on words, combining "cheer" (encouragement) from people supporting runners with the beer style "ale."

What is Yokohama Beer ?
Founded in 1999, this craft brewery is based in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. With the mission of "bringing excitement to life in Yokohama through beer that connects people," they continue to brew beer while cherishing their connections with local producers, restaurants, businesses, and the people of the community
What is Beeren Brewery?
Beeren Brewery brews craft beer using traditional European methods, with the motto "Bring happiness to the dinner table with delicious beer!" Based in Morioka City, this brewery has fans all over Japan, thanks to its beer-making that utilizes ingredients unique to Iwate Prefecture and collaborations with the local community
Marathon-themed beer for cheering
Both breweries have members who love marathons, and they have continued to interact through running, with members of Yokohama Beer participating in a race in Iwate Prefecture and members of Beeren Brewery participating in the Yokohama Marathon

Marathons are a sport where runners and supporters can become one. This beer is brewed with the intention of "supporting each individual" and "connecting people beyond their local area."
Characteristics as an Ordinary Bitter
"Yell" is an "ordinary bitter" beer, a traditional beer style that originated in the UK. With a bitterness level (IBU) of 35 and an alcohol content of 3.5%, it has a light finish and a refreshing taste that makes it perfect for a toast after a marathon
The ingredients include several hops such as East Kent Goldings (EKG), Cascade, Citral, and Centennial. In addition, fresh hops (Centennial and Crystal) grown in Iwate Prefecture by Beeren Breweryare also added.

This results in a well-balanced craft beer with a refreshing aroma reminiscent of citrus fruits and oranges, a gentle bitterness, and a rich flavor derived from malt
Sales are mainly in Kanagawa and Yokohama
It will be released on October 25, 2026. Shipments for external sales will begin on October 26, and sales locations include Yokohama Beer's directly managed stores, department stores, and select retailers.
