Autumn is the best season for Fururu no Oka, one of the largest flower fields in the Tohoku region, when about 20 different types of flowers bloom all at once. I've
wanted to visit Yakurai Garden ever since I saw photos of it on social media. I finally got to go at the end of August, when Fururu no Oka was in full bloom! I took lots of photos, so I'd like to share with you what the garden looked like.

Yakurai Garden: Enjoy flowers of all seasons

Yakurai Garden is located at the foot of Mt. Yakurai in Kami Town, Kami District, about an hour and a half drive from central Sendai

The grounds are filled with flowers blooming in abundance throughout the four seasonsIt consists of eight theme gardens, including a rose garden, a herb garden, and Fururu HillIt has been done

Seasonal events and limited-time fairs are held here, and the garden shows off a variety of different looks depending on the time of year. The garden also has a chapel, herb shop, and cafe, so you can spend some relaxing time in the vast grounds

I went to Yakurai Garden where Fururu Hill was in full bloom!

I visited in late August"Fururu no Oka" is usually at its best from September onwardsHowever, this year, due to the high temperatures, the flowers bloomed about two weeks earlier than usual, and we could see a sea of flowers as far as the eye could see

The park is full of photo spots

When I visited in August, the Umbrella Sky event was taking place, and the park was adorned with colorful umbrellas. In the Rose Garden, there was an Umbrella Street lined with umbrellas

There are plenty of other photo spots too!
Fururu Hill is located at the very back of the park, but on the way there you will find yourself dotted with photo spots, "here and there!", and you will find yourself stopping byA smartphone stand is provided for taking selfiesThis means you can take lots of great photos without having to ask someone else to take them for you

Colorful umbrellas look great!
Items for photos are available!

Rainbow-colored Fururu Hill

After taking lots of photos from the entrance to the park, we finally see Fururu Hill!
We are soon greeted by the changing colors of kochia. The bright red salvia fields will soon be over. We head towards the hill with excitement.

You can see the whole town from the hill

On the hill where you can get a 360-degree view of Fururu Hill,A deck that can ring the "bell of happiness"It is a vast hill with a pleasant sound of clanging

The benches where you can rest are also very stylish! As you walk through the flower fields of Fururu Hill, a pink door appears...! It's also fun to think about how to compose your photo

The "Light and Green Chapel" near the hill is a perfect spot for wedding photos. The interior of the chapel was also beautifully decorated

Just across the road is a ski resort, which is apparently bustling with families in the winter as a family-friendly ski resort

The charm of Yakurai Garden in each season

Flower and rapeseed fields (April to May)

In mid-April, colorful flowers such as daffodils, tulips, and violas bloom in all their glory.
When the weather gets warmer during Golden Week, the rapeseed flowers that bloom at Fururu Hill are so beautiful they could be featured on the cover of a magazine.
Every year from late April to late May, an Easter event is held, with colorful eggs and rabbits hidden throughout the park, providing plenty of fun.

Rose Garden (June to July)

With 160 varieties of English and French roses in bloom, the garden is filled with the scent of roses. This is the best season to enjoy the wide variety of roses, including their rich colors, flower shapes, and fragrances

Fururu Hill (September to October)

The vast Fururu Hill field is the highlight of Yakurai Garden.
The rainbow garden, one of the largest in the Tohoku region, is as beautiful as the flower fields of Furano, Hokkaido. Beautifully decorated with flowers such as cockscomb, salvia, and verbena, you can enjoy the pleasant breeze as you gaze upon the fields of flowers as far as the eye can see.
