The Yamagata Hanagasa Festival is held annually on August 5th, 6th, and 7th in Yamagata City, Yamagata Prefecture. Over the three days, a total of approximately 139 groups and 9,800 dancers gather for this festival, which is a sight to behold across the Tohoku region.
