The "Kawabiraki Festival" was started as a way of expressing gratitude to Kawamura Sonbei Shigekichi, who saved the city of Ishinomaki by controlling the Kitakami River's floods.
This fireworks display, held on the second day of the two-day festival starting on July 31st, is expected to be a spectacular finale to the festival.

Hometown Fireworks in Naganuma

"Furusato Hanabi in Naganuma," held in Tome City, Miyagi Prefecture, is a rare fireworks display in the prefecture where you can see Niagara Falls-style fireworks and underwater starmines.

The 95th Higashimatsushima City Naruse Floating Lantern Fireworks Festival
