94th Ishinomaki River Festival Fireworks Display
This is Ishinomaki City's fireworks festival, held at the mouth of the Kitakami River. The "Kawabiraki Festival" was started as a token of gratitude to Kawamura Magobei Jukichisen, who saved the city of Ishinomaki by controlling the flooding of the Kitakami River. Held on the second day of the two-day festival, which begins on July 31st, this fireworks display is expected to be powerful enough to close the festival. Approximately 6,000 fireworks, including jumbo star mines and illusion star mines, will burst into the night sky to connect Ishinomaki's past and future.

The Mahoroba Summer Festival is held in Yamato Town, Kurokawa County.
