The Sendai Airport Access Line , which connects Sendai Station in Aoba Ward, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, with Sendai Airport Station in Natori City, Miyagi Prefecture, opened on March 18, 2007 (Heisei 19)

It consists of two lines: JR East's Tohoku Main Line and the Sendai Airport Line . It connects Sendai Station, Nagamachi Station, Taishido Station, Minamisendai Station, and Natori Station on the Tohoku Main Line, and on the Sendai Airport Line, in as little as 17 minutes.

Anniversary of the death of Sakuzo Yoshino (Miyagi Prefecture)

Sakuzo a political scientist and thinker from Miyagi Prefecture who was active mainly during the Taisho era, was born on January 29, 1878, in Ogaki Village, Shida District, Miyagi Prefecture (present-day Furukawa Tokamachi, Osaki City), as the eldest son of Toshizo and Ko, who ran the Yoshinoya, a cotton yarn and cotton textile business.

He was a key figure in the Taisho Democracy , a period in Japan from the 1910s to the 1920s that encompassed the development of populism and a broader liberal movement and ideology

On March 18, 1933 , he died at the age of 55 from pleurisy, which he had been suffering from for about two months. He was buried in Tama Cemetery in Tokyo.
