Aomori Prefecture is rich in nature and has many beautiful scenery that you cannot see in other prefectures. 1. Oirase Stream
The Oirase Stream is a mountain stream that stretches approximately 14 km from Nenokuchi on the shores of Lake Towada in Aomori Prefecture to Yakeyama, and has been designated as a nationally designated special scenic spot and natural monument.
You can also drive close to it and start trekking from there. There are many attractions such as ``Ashura no Nagare'' and ``Choshi Otaki''.

2. Shirakami Mountains
The vast area of beech forests that stretches from southwestern Aomori Prefecture to northwestern Akita Prefecture is collectively called the Shirakami Mountains. It was registered as a World Heritage Site in 1993, and there is a trekking course that is open to general tourists.
Even if you're not good at walking, you can find Mother Tree, a five-minute walk from Tsugaru Pass. It is said that the lifespan of a beech is usually 200 years, while the mother tree is estimated to last 400 years.

3. Hirosaki Castle
Hirosaki Castle, designated as a national important cultural property, is the only existing castle tower in Tohoku.
The current castle tower of Mae Castle was built in 1810, 183 years after the old tower was destroyed by lightning. Although it is currently a small, three-story castle tower, it is considered to be one of the valuable castle towers built during the Edo period.
Hirosaki Castle is known for its historical culture, but it is also the best cherry blossom viewing spot in Japan. Yoshino cherry trees and weeping cherry trees are in full bloom in Hirosaki Park.

4.Lake Towada
Lake Towada is a caldera lake located on the border of Aomori and Akita prefectures. It has an area of 61km2, a circumference of 46km, an elevation of 400m, and a maximum depth of 327m.
