March 25, 1872(February 17, 1872 in the old calendar) in Magome Village, 5th District, 8th District, Chikuma Prefecture (present-day Magome, Nakatsugawa City, Gifu Prefecture). On September 8, 1896, at the age of 24, he became a teacher at Tohoku Gakuin and was assigned to Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, where he stayed for about 10 months.

Following the death of his mother in October of the same year, he began writing poetry at his home in Hasekura-cho, where he was living at the time. He then moved to Miuraya near Sendai Station and wrote his first poetry collection,"Wakana-shu,"which was published and launched his literary career. As a result, "Wakana-shu" contains many poems written in Sendai.

He subsequently published a total of four poetry collections, andBansui Doi (who was from Sendai, Sendai Prefecture),together with"Fuji-Ban era"or"Ban-Fuji era."he was often mentioned in the phrase

The former site of Miuraya was redeveloped in 2004"Nakakecho Fujimura Square,"and a poetry monument was also erected there.

1943(Showa 18)On August 22,, he died of a cerebral hemorrhage at his home in Oiso, Kanagawa Prefecture. His last words were reportedly, "What a cool breeze."
