The asteroid Narukospa (Naruko Onsen) January 6, 1997 by Takao Kobayashi, an astronomer who has discovered over 2,000 asteroids to date , and its name was announced in the Asteroid Circular dated October 4, 2009.

This is the second place outside Earth to have the name "Naruko," after the crater "Naruko"
