Matsudaira Katamori , the 9th lord of the Mutsu Kaizu Domain died of pneumonia on December 5, 1893 (Meiji 26)

He was born as the sixth son of Matsudaira Yoshitake, the 10th lord of the Takasu domain in Mino Province, at the Takasu domain residence in Edo Yotsuya Dote Sanbancho, and went to Aizu in 1851. The following year, in 1852, Matsudaira Yoshitaka, the 8th lord of the Aizu domain, passed away, and he became the lord of Aizu and Higo no Kami on February 15th of the same year (old calendar)

In 1862, at the age of 28, he was appointed as the Kyoto Shugoshoku (protector of Kyoto). After that, he was caught up in the great upheavals of the times, which led to the Boshin War, and as a result, he effectively became the last lord of the Aizu domain (*)

(※) It is believed that the succession of the 10th feudal lord, Matsudaira Nobunori, to the family headship was merely a formality during the war

Anniversary of the death of Tsugaru Tamenobu, the first lord of the Hirosaki domain (Aomori Prefecture)

Tsugaru Tamenobu , the first lord of the Hirosaki Domain in Mutsu Province , passed away on December 5, 1608

His eldest son, Nobutake, died on October 13th of the same year, and then, as if to follow suit, he died two months later, leaving the Hirosaki domain in chaos as it lost both its lord and its heir almost simultaneously

the Tsugaru Disturbance broke out, but the turmoil was put to rest when the shogunate ruled that Nobuhira, the third son of Narinobu, would inherit the family headship.
