The Second Bandai-Azuma Road, also known as the Bandai-Azuma Lake Line , is a 13.1 km long road that runs from Azumayama, Wakamiya, Inawashiro-machi, Yama-gun, Fukushima Prefecture to Kengamine, Hibara, Kitashiobara-mura. It opened to traffic on October 20, 1972 (Showa 47)

This road, which allows visitors to enjoy the scenery created by the lakes and marshes of Akimoto Lake, Onogawa Lake, and Hibara Lake, along with larch and other trees, was initially a toll road, but has been permanently free of charge since 2013

Regarding winter road access

The Bandai-Azuma Lake Line is closed to traffic during the winter months

Furthermore, even during the open period (mid-April to mid-November), the road may be closed at night (17:00 to 7:00 the following day) if there is a possibility of road freezing
