Karamatsu Shrine in Kyowa, Daisen City, Akita Prefecture, is a "Women's Guardian Deity*" that protects women throughout their lives and is the god of matchmaking, fertility, and safe childbirth. Locals also call it "Karamatsu-sama of the Boundary Region.".
