The people of Akita Prefecture love festivals. Everyone knows about the Kanto Festival, one of the three major festivals in the Tohoku region. Many Akita residents get excited when they hear the practice of the festival music as the festival approaches. Omagari's fireworks are so famous that they are broadcast on television every year, and the Noshiro Tanabata "Sleepless City in the Sky" is also well worth seeing. [Yuzawa City] Dog Festival
