What a surprise! This the 27th edition of "Okura Snow Story .

There's a giant snowman, fireworks, and even a food stall village..

Speaking of March, we are already hearing news of plum blossoms and daffodils in some places, but here in Hijiori, Okura Village, there seems to be no sign of the snow melting away yet

Instead, we're going to have fun with events that will allow us to enjoy winter until the very end!

In fact, there was a light event in the summer too

In the summer, an event called "Hijiori no Hi" was held from July 16th to August 21st, 2022 (summer event) and from September 10th to October 16th (autumn event).

Several artists stayed in Hijiori Onsen, researching the local area and creating lantern paintings. Lanterns with these paintings were then hung from the eaves of each inn and shop in the hot spring town, creating a fantastical atmosphere.

It's very stylish to stroll around the hot spring town on a summer evening, drawn by the lights

Let's hope the event will be held again in 2023 and wait for good news!
