The Hawaiians glamping! ? Introducing the glamping facilities at Max Expected Value [Fukushima Prefecture]
table of contents
In recent years, the number of glamping facilities in Fukushima Prefecture has increased, with each facility uniquely positioned to allow visitors to enjoy "glamorous camping."
Among them, the one recommended in this article is Mauna Village, established by Spa Resort Hawaiians in Iwaki City, which is also visited by travelers from the Tokyo metropolitan area
Hawaiians Glamping Mauna Village (Iwaki City)

This is a full-scale glamping facility that opened in July 2021 on the grounds of Spa Resort Hawaiians Golf Course
Mauna in Mauna Village comes from the Hawaiian word for " mountain ," and as the name suggests, you can experience outdoor life in a landscape reminiscent of the mountains of Hawaii.
Some plans include admission to Spa Resort Hawaiians, and you can easily travel between these facilities using the free shuttle bus

You can have fun in the pool or on the famous water slide, relax in the hot springs, enjoy a dance show by the hula girls, and spend a relaxing and extraordinary time watching the bonfire at night
Mauna Village will be closed for the winter until February 28th, but reservations will be accepted from March 1st on its official website
Four types of spacious and comfortable tents and wooden cabins

All tents and cabins are rented exclusively and there is ample distance between them, so you can experience glamping without worrying about disturbing others
The rooms are equipped with electrical outlets, air conditioning, a refrigerator, an electric kettle, a safe, free Wi-Fi, and the wooden cabins are fully equipped with a bathroom and toilet
Amenities include towels, a toothbrush set, and a tea set, and shampoos and cosmetics are all provided in the bathing facilities

If you stay in a tent, you will have to use the clean toilets located in three places within the glamping area, and the passageways are brightly lit at night, so you can feel safe
There is a shower building within the area, and the large public bath in the golf course clubhouse is available from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Alternatively, take the shuttle bus to Spa Resort Hawaiians and enjoy 12 different hot springs (please bring your own towels)
Grand tent (capacity 2-4 people, 2 beds)

If you look closely at the interiors of the tents, each with its own theme, you will see that they use the same designs as the costumes worn by the singing and dancing hula girls at Hawaiians
There are 11 tents, Grand Tents 1-6 and K Tents 1-5, each with two large beds, and you can choose a tent with your preferred interior design
Hills Tent (Capacity 2-4 people, 2 beds)

The decks of the two Hills Tents located at the top of the hills in the area offer a panoramic view of the entire Mauna Village, including the golf course and mountains

The interior of this tent is unified in the same Hawaiian style as the Grand Tent, making it feel like you are camping in the mountains of Hawaii
Lotus Tent (Capacity 2-6 people, 4 beds)

This cute, plump, onion-shaped tent with a pointed roof is spacious enough to fit four semi-double-sized beds side by side, and can accommodate up to six people
The three Lotus Stents are extremely popular overseas due to their cute appearance
ASOBI Tent (Capacity 2-4 people, 2 beds)

The two wooden decks built on the slope of the hill are equipped with play facilities such as slides and children's bouldering walls, making it a great choice for family glamping with children
Wooden cabin (capacity 2-4 people, 4 beds)

The sturdy wooden cabin is filled with the warmth of wood, like a log house, and comes with a bath (with shower), toilet, and a kitchen with a large sink
In the three comfortable cabins, which feel like you're staying in a hotel room, everyone can enjoy outdoor camping, from those experiencing glamping for the first time to the elderly and children
Enjoy Fukushima beef BBQ and eggs Benedict breakfast on the wooden deck

All rooms have outdoor dining on the wooden deck, equipped with tables and chairs, as well as a full set of cooking equipment including a BBQ grill
Even if you're a BBQ beginner, the staff will be happy to assist you, and there are roofs and curtains to protect the tables and grills from getting wet, so you don't have to worry about rain
A hearty glamping BBQ

Enjoy a generous selection of Fukushima ingredients, including tender Fukushima beef, Hayama Plateau pork, and Fukushima vegetables, cooked to your liking
The meal is very satisfying, with hors d'oeuvres, a pot salad of locally grown vegetables, tortillas, seasonal soup, grilled rice balls, and dessert

If you are staying with elementary school children or infants, a children's menu is available
For hygiene reasons, you cannot bring in your own ingredients, and as there is plenty of food for the course, no additional menu items are available

Drinks can be purchased at the Village House, and you can also bring in alcohol or wine to pair with your BBQ, although there is an additional corkage fee
Wake up with eggs benedict with plenty of hollandaise sauce

The breakfast, served in the morning sun in the natural surroundings, consists of eggs Benedict topped with a rich, buttery hollandaise sauce
Enjoy it with salad, fruit, minestrone soup, and local Fukushima Rakuo Milk yogurt (a children's menu is also available for breakfast)
There are many ways to spend your time at Mauna Village

You can enjoy the pool and hula girl show at Spa Resort Hawaiians, or relax on the swings at Village Park, and spend an extraordinary time

However, there is a curfew (10:30pm) at the glamping site, so be careful not to relax too much at the spa resort
You can also enjoy a bonfire on the wooden deck after dinner, and a large campfire will be lit in the fireplace, instantly getting you into the camping mood

After enjoying the bonfire, it's time for quiet time from 10pm
Let's spend some quiet time under the stars in our tents, reminiscing about the day
