Hirohiko Araki's original art exhibition "Jojo Exhibition in S City Moriocho 2017" will be held!
The Hirohiko Araki original art exhibition "Jojo Exhibition", which ended in 2012 with great acclaim, will be held again!
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the popular manga "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure", it will be held at "Sendai Mediatheque" located in Momiji Ward, Morio-cho, S City, M Prefecture (Aoba Ward, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture)!
The event will last approximately one month from August 13th to September 10th.
At the venue, you can see over 380 original color drawings of manga and illustrations published in Shonen Jump.
Moreover, some of the exhibits will be replaced after August 25th, so the total number of exhibits will be around 500, double the number at the Sendai exhibition five years ago!
The highlight this time is the area of parts 4 and 8, which are set in Morio-cho, S City, Sendai!
The many original drawings and objects that reproduce manga are a must-see!
I'll give you an early report on the charm of the JoJo exhibition!
The original color drawings from parts 1 to 8 will be released all at once! Even works before Jojo!
When you step into the venue, the first thing that awaits you is an exhibition of original drawings from Jojo Part 8 to Part 8.
Early one-shots such as ``Busou Poker'' and the first serials ``Demon Boy Beatty'' and ``Baoh Visitor'' are valuable original drawings that are rarely seen today.
Next, the original color drawings are arranged in chronological order from part 1 to part 8.
The beautiful and cool original color drawings, which have been described as works of art, are truly impressive.
Not only the works that were actually published in Shonen Jump, but also the works that were written for the previous Jojo exhibition are on display, so there may be some works that you have never seen before!
Please enjoy up close the changes in Araki's drawing style and the differences in his touch from before JoJo to the latest Part 8.
The spectacular Morio-cho area in S City, M Prefecture!
Once you pass through the original drawing zone, you'll find many huge comics spread out there!
In the middle of the large venue, objects made of gigantic covers of comics from Part 4, ``Diamond is Unbreakable'' were lined up in regular order, and manuscripts of famous scenes from each book were on display.
Nearby, there are objects that reproduce accessories and famous scenes that appeared in the work!
Here we would like to introduce some of them.
The image is an object that makes the sound "I hate you" emitted by Echoes act.1.
The color and nice texture make you think, ``This is what it would look like if it really had the ability to stand.''
Moreover, if you look closely at this object,
Even the furigana are reproduced!
In this way, the objects displayed in the 4th area are three-dimensionalized down to the finest detail!
Other,
Fans will be thrilled to see such truly unexpected things being recreated!
Personally, I was most moved by the turtle object that appeared in Part 4.
The staff were really great in making the turtles from Part 4 instead of Part 5 into three-dimensional figures!
When you cross the line marked 2011 at the end of the route, the world will go full circle.
From there, there is an area that recreates Part 8 "Jojolion".
You can admire the original color illustrations of Part 8 while walking around the Touhou family where the main character, Sadosuke, lives, which is a faithful reproduction of the manga.
Both are full of charm, but most importantly, the color original paintings in Part 8 are the latest and are being exhibited for the first time.
Please take your time and enjoy the world of Part 8.
Impressions after seeing the Jojo exhibition
So, I went ahead and experienced the JoJo exhibition, and my impressions are
"Di Molto Bene" In particular, the reproduction of the Moriocho area is amazing, and in Part 8, you'll have the illusion that the Touhou mansion has really appeared in this world.
I can't convey this feeling until I see it for myself!
In addition, the ``Morio Shinpo Special Issue'', which is full of original art exhibition and related information, will be distributed to all visitors and will be a great read.
The ``Jojo Exhibition in S City Moriocho 2017'', which can be talked about but cannot be said enough, will be held from August 12th to September 10th at Sendai Mediatheque.
Whether you are a fan or are about to become a fan, please enjoy!
Please note that we will be closed on August 24th due to the replacement of works.
