[M Prefecture] Enjoyed the "JoJo Exhibition in S City Morio-cho 2017" ahead of time!

In August 2017, after five years, JoJo will return to Morioh Town!

Hirohiko Araki's original art exhibition "JoJo Exhibition in Morioh Town, S City 2017" is being held!

The Hirohiko Araki original art exhibition "JoJo Exhibition," which ended in 2012 to great acclaim, is set to return!
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the creation of the popular manga "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure," the exhibition will be held at the Sendai Mediatheque in Momiji Ward, Morioh Town, S City, M Prefecture (Aoba Ward, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture)!
The exhibition will run for approximately one month, from August 13th to September 10th.
At the venue, you can see over 380 original color illustrations and manuscripts of manga that have been published in Shonen Jump.
What's more, with some of the exhibits being replaced from August 25th, the total number of exhibits will reach approximately 500, double the number of works on display at the Sendai exhibition five years ago!

The highlight of this event is the area for Parts 4 and 8, which are set in Morioh Town, S City, Sendai!
Don't miss the numerous original drawings and objects that recreate the manga!

We'll be giving you an early report on the appeal of the JoJo exhibition!

All the original color drawings from parts 1 to 8 are now on display! Works from before JoJo are also included!

When you step into the venue, the first thing you see is an exhibition of original artwork from before JoJo up to Part 8

These are rare original drawings from the early days that are rarely seen these days, including early one-offs such as "Armed Poker," his first serialized works "Beaty the Demon Boy" and "Baoh the Visitor."

Next up are the color original drawings lined up in chronological order from Part 1 to Part 8.
The beautiful and cool color original drawings have been described as art, and are simply impressive.
Not only are the drawings that were actually published in Shonen Jump on display, but also works that were created specifically for the previous JoJo exhibition, so you may even find some works you've never seen before!

Enjoy the changes in Araki's style and touch from before JoJo to the latest Part 8 up close

The impressive Morioh Town area in S City, M Prefecture!

Once you leave the original art zone, you'll see a huge collection of comics!

In the middle of the large venue, giant sculptures of the comic book covers from each library of Part 4, "Diamond is Unbreakable," were lined up in an orderly fashion, and the manuscripts of famous scenes from each volume were on display

Nearby, there are small items and objects that recreate famous scenes from the work!
Here we will introduce some of them.

The image is an object that represents the sound of "I hate you" uttered by Echoes act.1.
The color and texture make it seem like it would really be like if Stand abilities existed.

Moreover, if you look closely at this object,

Even the furigana has been reproduced!

As you can see, the objects on display in Area 4 are made in 3D with incredible detail!

There are some truly unexpected things recreated, so fans will be thrilled!
Personally, I was most impressed by the turtle sculpture that appeared in Part 4.
The staff are truly amazing, making a turtle from Part 4 instead of Part 5!

Once you cross the line marked 2011 at the end of the route, the world will come full circle.
From there, you will enter an area that recreates Part 8, "JoJolion."
You can view the original color illustrations from Part 8 while walking around the Touhou family home, where the main character, Josuke, is staying, faithfully recreated from the manga.

Both are very appealing, but above all, the color original drawings of Part 8 are the latest and are on display for the first time.
Please take your time to look at them and experience the world of Part 8.

My thoughts on the JoJo exhibition

So, having had the chance to experience the JoJo exhibition early, my impression can only be described as
"Di Molto Bene" The reproduction of the Morioh Town area in particular was amazing, to the point that it felt as if the Touhou residence had really appeared in this world in Part 8.
The excitement can't be fully conveyed without actually seeing it!
Also, the Morioh Shimpo Special Extra Edition, which is distributed to all visitors and is packed with information about the original art exhibition, is extremely worthwhile.

The "JoJo Exhibition in Morioh Town, S City 2017," which can be talked about and never fully explained, will be held at Sendai Mediatheque from August 12th to September 10th.
Fans and potential fans alike should definitely come and enjoy it!
Please note that the exhibition will be closed on August 24th due to the replacement of artworks.
