Every year around May, Miyagi Prefecture conducts water quality tests at beaches that are open for swimming within the prefecture
Water quality tests were conducted at 15 beaches that are scheduled to open for swimming in 2023, and the results were announced on June 28th. All beaches in Miyagi Prefecture passed the water quality tests

Odanohama Beach (Kesennuma City)

The Minamisanriku Children's Stadium was donated by the Rakuten Baseball Club's Tohoku Smile Project to Arashima Park, a children's playground adjacent to the beach in 2018 it was reborn as Arashima Rakuten Park.
