The hot spring has a long history, having been discovered over 1,400 years ago. It is said that the hot springs were given the title of "Natori no Miyayu" (Natori's Imperial Hot Springs) after healing the illness of the 29th Emperor, Kinmei

It is easily accessible from downtown Sendai, just a 30-minute drive away, but once you arrive, you'll find it to be a charming hot spring resort with a panoramic view of the lush nature along the Natori River valley
