What is Train Sim World 7?
"Train Sim World 7" is a railway simulation game developed and published by Dovetail Games in the UK
Released on September 16, 2026, this latest installment in the "Train Sim World" series allows players to experience authentic train operation on real-world routes and trains around the globe
By installing additional content for the main game, the number of routes and trains you can drive will increase. The "Tadami Line: Aizu-Wakamatsu to Tadami" released this time is one of those additional content
The Tadami Line makes its debut as the first Japanese route in the series!
The "Tadami Line: Aizu-Wakamatsu to Tadami"is the first Japanese route and the first Asian route in the "Train Sim World" series.
The game was developed by Union Workshop, a China-based team that has previously created Asian route and vehicle content for Dovetail Games' other series, "Train Simulator."

The setting is the Aizu-Wakamatsu to Tadami section of the JR East Tadami Line, a railway line running through Fukushima Prefecture. The scenery along the line, including traditional townscapes, rural landscapes, forests, and valleys, is recreated
Furthermore, unique Japanese signaling systems and ATS (Automatic Train Stop) systems are also featured. You can experience a unique Japanese railway driving experience along with the scenery along the line
A KiHa 40 series train running between Aizu-Wakamatsu and Tadami before the heavy rain disaster
This content recreates the Tadami Line as it was before it was severed by the heavy rain disaster of 2011

The train you'll be driving is a KiHa 40 series diesel railcar. Three different train color schemes are included: JNR (Japanese National Railways) color (orange), Niigata color (white and blue), and Tohoku Regional Headquarters color (white and green)

The released game screenshots show not only the exterior of the train but also the driver's cab, where instruments and controls are arranged. Even those who have ridden the Tadami Line before may discover something new about the scenery along the route viewed from the driver's seat
Includes seasonal scenery, 28 train stations, and 5 scenarios
The included section is 88km long, from Aizu-Wakamatsu Station to Tadami Station, and features 28 stations along this route

The scenery changes with the seasons, with cherry blossoms in spring and snowscapes in winter, making it a must-see. The released images include trains running on tracks surrounded by greenery, trains crossing a railway bridge with snow-covered mountains in the background, and scenes of Aizu-Takada Station with cherry blossoms in bloom

In addition to a timetable recreated based on actual train operations, the game also includes five scenarios set in various locations along the line. You can enjoy the scenery of the four seasons while experiencing driving on the Tadami Line
Collaborative art by Kaoru Akagawa, depicting railway line scenery using kana characters

To commemorate the release of the additional content, collaborative artwork with Japanese artist Kaoru Akagawa has also been unveiled
Akagawa utilizes the techniques he cultivated as a master of kana calligraphy to depict the scenery along the Tadami Line using traditional Japanese kana characters
Upon closer inspection, it becomes clear that the train, railway bridge, and surrounding trees are represented by a collection of tiny characters. This work combines calligraphy and painting, depicting a railway landscape through the arrangement and density of the characters
Along with the Tadami Line recreated in the game, be sure to also pay attention to the scenery along the line, which is depicted using kana characters
