Historic Site
People have lived on this fertile land since ancient times, and during the Edo period, Kurihara was part of the Sendai domain.
The Kurihara region, which makes up Kurihara City, spreads out at the southeastern foot of Mount Kurikoma. The Ichihasama River, Nihasama River, and Sansasa River all flow through the area, originating from Mount Kurikoma.
