[Recommended Autumn Festivals: Miyagi] The majesty of the Date clan and music filling the streets

Miyagi Prefecture's major autumn festivals include the annual festival of Osaki Hachimangu Shrine, the main shrine of the Sendai domain, which had a fiefdom of 620,000 koku. Other famous festivals include the festival of Masamune Date of Mt. Iwate, where the domain's founder, Masamune Date, had his base before founding Sendai.
